Phone contact for e-commerce platforms

E-commerce platforms like Amazon must make contact information available for the user/buyer/customer in case of any suggestions/need for clarification or supplementary details. However, there is no law that says that the phone number is compulsory to be included in the contact information. E-mail /chat or other forms of electronical interaction are considered enough, being viable alternatives and suited for such platforms.
